As avid twitter and iPhone users we found ourselves avoiding reading blogs on our iPhones because there was no easy way to tweet links to articles we found.
Bit.ly had made it super easy to share a link on twitter from a deskptop or laptop, but there was no easy way to do it from our mobile devices.
We love using twitpic from our mobiles and thought, there needs to be something as simple as twitpic for links. So we built LinkTwit.
The short version. It's just like TwitPic, but for links.
The slightly longer version. LinkTwit is an easy to use tool that allows users to post a tweet and shorten a long URL via email and then track the resulting usage.
For example, it will automatically turn this Email:

...into this tweet:

This makes it super easy to share a link on twitter to something you find while using a mobile device.
You don't have to. We don't your password. Just click on the login button and you'll be sent over to twitter for authentication. Enter your Twitter username and password and you are all set.
If you don't have a Twitter account you can sign up for one for free at Twitter.com
Every linktw.it link has an info
page that shows the
number of clicks and other relevant data.
For example, to get to the Info page for this linktw.it link:
Add a "+" sign to the end of the link — http://linktw.it/d3jeRH+
The Conversations section of the Info page show Twitter posts and Friend Feed items containing links to a linktw.it or bit.ly link. Conversations also show the number of comments found on the page a linktw.it link points to. For example, if a linktw.it link points to a blog post that has 3 blog comments
This typically happens when you send your email to your unique address, but you have the wrong pin. Double-check that the pin in the email you sent matches the pin in your My Account page.
Your LinkTwit username and password are the same as your Twitter username and password. If you forgot your password, you can reset it at Twitter.
LinkTwit URLs are powered by bit.ly pro. bit.ly maintains a highly reliable and redundant system with the goal of making their service - especially existing links - available at all times. They are also in the process of developing an archive system to make sure that links are available beyond our systems.
Again, LinkTwit URLs are powered by Bit.ly. Bit.ly filters all links through several independent services to check for spam, suspected phishing scams, malware, and other objectionable content. They currently include Google Safe Browsing, SURBL, and SpamCop in our operations. For Firefox and Chrome browser users, they also have a Preview Plugin that allows you to view more information about a link before clicking. If you are a Twitter user, similar preview features are offered by Tweetdeck (they've got a writeup of how it works here).
